Monday's Musings: Over the next several weeks, I want to share some prayers from A.W. Tozer's book The Pursuit of God.
"O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, the Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, 'Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.' Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wandered so long. In Jesus name. Amen." (p. 20)

The area board will meet Tuesday February 7 at 10:30 A.M. First Baptist Seymour will host the meeting.
March 23-24 is our annual Pastor/Wife Retreat. March 19 is the deadline for signing up. Once again it is open to all pastors and their wives. Other staff and spouse are welcome as well. The cost is $40 per couple. Dr. John Franklin will be our guest teacher and he will be speaking about spiritual warfare. You don't want to miss this opportunity.. Please make every effort to join this year. Call the area office to register or email Derrell.
Needed--folks to answer the call to associational mission opportunities. Ecuador -- April 24-May 2, August 1-9, and November 7-16. Namibia -- February, June, and October; Brazil -- July 13-22; Vancouver -- August 29-September 5. Other opportunities will develop, so keep watching. We need your partcipation.
